Our company generally requires the life of the die is 500 thousand strokes, but in the current market and sales situation of many varieties and small and medium batch production, it is worth reconsidering whether the service life of the mold will continue to be 500 thousand punches, and it is also considered to be considered in the 400 thousand and even 300 thousand strokes. The Toyota Corporation's drawing material mainly uses spheroidal graphite cast iron (KSCD-800IS), not the current domestic alloy cast iron (at present our company's outer cover drawing die material is GM246). The Toyota Corporation is the appropriate choice to consider from the cost control. Its original cause lies in the welding performance of the spheroidal graphite cast iron. The machinability is good, the wear resistance and the surface quenching hardness are ideal, but the cost is much lower than the alloy cast iron. Considering the high cost of cast steel, the Toyota Corporation has now adopted a large number of cast iron material with the integration of the matrix and the edge of the blade as the trimming die, so that the machining cost of the die is greatly reduced. The cast iron integral blade only needs surface flame quenching, which can be directly applied to hundreds of thousands of life span sheet metal trimming dies. In the development of automobile dies in our company, we always emphasize the selection of materials that are as good as possible, and constantly enhance the die structure. Therefore, we must master a "degree", if too much emphasis on "solid", the use of high-end materials, may cause a certain degree of waste. For example, in a new model for a new model of the model, we require a cast steel ICD5 (Kong Lenggang) for cutting and shaping the edges, because the ductility of the cast steel is better than that of the cast iron, and it is not easy to have a sharp edge when used, and the repair of the welding is easy. Considering the cost control, we can use nodular cast iron KSCD-800IS, because KSCD-800IS is much cheaper than ICD5. It should be emphasized that when KSCD-800IS is used for waste cutting and shaping flanging inserts, the thin plate with a material thickness of less than 0.8mm is used.
